India Visa Photos

The photo must be clear and not blurry, clearly identifying the visitor with their entire face, facial features, hair, and any visible skin marks.

If the visitor wears a turban, headscarf, hijab, burqa, or other head covering for religious reasons, they must only ensure that the head covering does not obscure the face, chin, and hairline.

The visitor should be easily identifiable from the photo that the immigration officer would take at the border.

The photo must be at least 350 pixels by 350 pixels in height and width. It must be at least this size.

The face should cover 50-60% of the photo area and be centered in the frame.

Ears, neck, and shoulders should also be visible, except with head coverings worn for religious reasons.

The standard India visa photo size is 1 MB or 1 megabyte.

Do not wear accessories like hats or sunshades in the photo.

You can wear your glasses in the photo, but ideally you should upload a photo without glasses.

The background in the photo should be plain and simple, and the clothing should also be plain, without complex patterns or bold colors.

The photo should not have anyone in the background.

The view of your face should be frontal, not side view or profile view.

Your eyes should be fully open in the photo, not even half-closed, and mouth closed.
