Canada Passport Photos
Two identical photos are required for a Canadian passport application, which must meet the following requirements:
The photos must be 50×70 mm in size (portrait format).
The photo must be taken by a professional photographer.
It must be clear, sharp, and centered. It can be in color or black and white.
The facial expression must be neutral, with open eyes and closed mouth, as in a biometric photo.
The image must be evenly lit, without shadows or glare.
The person must be photographed frontally and centered.
The background can be white or slightly colored. It is important that the background color does not match that of the face.
Skin tones should be reproduced as accurately as possible.
The photo must not be retouched or altered from an existing photo. It must not be older than 12 months.
The passport photo must be professionally printed/exposed on regular, high-quality photo paper (matte/glossy) (amateur prints or too thick papers are not accepted).
